Taylor Edelle Stuart is a film director + theatre maker.

Taylor’s directorial projects frequently explore the visual language of dreams, queerness, class, how trauma fragments the self, and the ways technology and media shape our identities and desires.

As a projection designer, her work focuses on the interplay between digital media and physical bodies and spaces by cultivating harmony and tension between theatrical and cinematic modes.

Recently, Taylor co-designed projections for the world premiere of the musical The Outsiders and designed video for the National Tour of R.E.S.P.E.C.T., a concert series celebrating the life and work of Aretha Franklin, among many others. She also frequently serves as Associate Projection Designer, Assistant Projection Designer, and Animator on a wide variety of projects on Broadway, Off-Broadway and Regionally.

Taylor directs music videos and short form video. She is a director on Boy Shorts, which is in pre-production for its second season.

Taylor co-owns and serves as the creative director of Paddock Pictures, a full-service production company that produces narrative and documentary films, as well as video content for theater, live events, and immersive entertainment.
